Thanksgiving Preperation.

Thanksgiving has always been one of my favorite holidays, but I also know how stressful it can be the entire day is filled with food, people unbuckling their belts and there I am.
Here are some ways that I keep control on thanksgiving:
*plan out what you want to eat in advance
*wear tight clothes (I love my spanx)
*understand how much you are eating proportionately
*eat slowly
*eat before you are around the food so you don't pick at it
*water, water, water and green tea!
*showing up late also helps if you don't mind being untimely

one important thing to keep in mind is the average person eats 3,000 calories (299 grams of fat) for thanksgiving dinner and it will be easy for us to get nowhere near that.

some numbers:

turkey (4oz)
white meat with skin- 185 calories
white meat with out skin- 158 calories
dark meat with skin- 206 calories
dark meat without skin- 183 calories

baked ham (3oz with natural juices) 107

stuffing (1 cup) 400 calories

green bean casserole (I'm guessing about 1/2 cup) 270 calories

mashed potatoes (3/4 cup)
with butter and milk- 170 calories

sweet potatoes plain (1 cup) 250 calories

cranberry sauce (1tsp) 26 calories

hash brown casserole (1 cup) 320 calories

deviled eggs (two halves) 140 calories

fresh fruit salad (1 cup) 70 calories

dinner roll (small) 75 calories

Those are just the few that I could think of. I hope this helps you all have a peaceful Thanksgiving!
